I remember her as a baby like it was yesterday&#8230;and now she&#8217;s five years old!!! When asked how it felt to be a whole year older, she said &#8220;Mom, it feels great! <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(pause for thought)<\/span> Actually&#8230;you know, I really, really, really LOVE being five!&#8221; I took the gal&#8217;s out for ice cream <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(Rhy, Chy, and Rob)<\/span>, then off to Claire&#8217;s to find some cool jewelry, then off to the bookstore <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(we can&#8217;t visit the mall without popping in there)<\/span> for some new reads, then Aunt Annie&#8217;s Pretzels <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(per Rob&#8217;s request)<\/span>, then back home for some cupcakes and presents <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(while the grandparents watched on Skype)<\/span>. It was a fabulous day! We spent New Years Eve at home playing guitar hero and singstar, dancing around in our jammie&#8217;s, and being silly.
