photographic style
i am a lifestyle & portrait photographer specializing in the creation of modern maternity, newborn, baby, child & family portraits. my style is a bit eclectic and spans from classic portraiture to that of a journalistic nature, as i strive to capture authenticity of the everyday and beauty in the mundane. i work primarily with natural light and i operate as a location photographer for the majority of my work. this enables me to focus on capturing the essence of my clients in surroundings that are both familiar and comfortable to them.
i may offer advice on wardrobe and offer posing suggestions here and there, but sessions are meant to be simple, relaxed, & fun. wear what reflects your style and personality and i'll help you to pose yourselves naturally. my number one goal is for you to be comfortable and to be YOU. i will laugh with you, cry with you, chat with you, and maybe even hug you -- together we will create an atmosphere that will encourage genuine moments, raw emotion, natural expressions, smiles, laughter, and silly’s. if a temper tantrum should arise, as they sometimes do, don’t worry about it -- those are just as much a part of life and childhood as everything else -- i'm sure you'll want to remember those beautifully trying moments as well.

i love to have those jammy-wearing jumping on the bed pillow fight tickle fests and then making pancakes and fresh squeezed orange juice kind of sessions. or sessions that involve baking up some chewy chocolate chip cookies from scratch, giving your tiny littles a bubble bath, running through the backyard sprinklers, playing dress up whilst belting the lyrics to "let it go" at the top of our lungs, reading "where the wild things are" ten million times over, and putting puzzles together on the living room floor.
i also love cuddly-giggly-laughter filled sessions on the beach, in the park, or downtown.
